Why Not Use Redirects?

- When you set up your website and before you add any posts or Pages, adjust your permalink structure to use an attractive permalink.
- Set up a slug for each page or post before posting it. Ensure that it is suitable for both search engine (SEO) and user experience (UX).

Redirect a Post or URL in WordPress
To set up redirects, you’ll need to install a WordPress plugin. In this guide, I’m going to guide you on how to do it with the Redirection plugin.
You need your WordPress website to redirect one post to another or you need to redirect a URL on your domain to a different domain.
After installing the plugin, Go to Tools > Redirection and scroll down to the Add new redirection section.
In the Source URL box, type or paste the URL you desire to redirect to. In the Target URL box, type or paste the URL you need to redirect to. In the Group box, either leave it as redirects (default) or select modified posts if you are moving from the old post to the new interpretation. It will provide browsers with information on what kind of redirect it is.
Ultimately, click the Add Redirect button and your redirect will be executed to the list of redirects.
